Fr. Jonathan Erdman, Priest

Father Jonathan Mark Erdman was ordained a priest of the Catholic Church in 2017 on the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul. Before he and his family entered into full communion with the Catholic Church in 2016, he served for twelve years as a priest in the Episcopal Church: first as Curate and Youth Minister at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in New York City, and from 2010 to 2016 as Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisville.

Born in Mahoning Township, Pennsylvania in 1978, he is the son of an Episcopal priest.  Father Erdman received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri – Rolla in 2000 and his MDiv from Yale University Divinity School in 2004. While in formation for ordination as a Catholic priest, Fr. Erdman studied at St. Meinrad Seminary.  Fr. Erdman and his wife Andrea have five children.
