When is Mass?

On Sundays, we have Mass in the Ordinariate Form at 11 am.  Outside the summer, this is preceded by formation classes (children at 10 am, adults at 10:15 am).  Nearly every Sunday, Mass is immediately followed by Coffee Hour.  Our Sundays end with Evensong at 3 pm.

On Wednesdays and Fridays, we have daily Mass in the Ordinariate Form at 5:30 pm. This is preceded by confessions at 4:15 pm and Evening Prayer at 5 pm.

Where are you located? Where should I park?

See our location and parking page.

How long is Mass?

About an hour and twenty minutes on an Ordinary Sunday. If there is a baptism, confirmation, or procession, it will be slightly longer.

Do I have to be Catholic to attend?

No! Everyone is welcome to worship with us.

Are children welcome at Mass?

Our Lady and St. John is very welcoming of children – in fact, around a quarter of the people at our Sunday Masses are kids!  We believe it is important for Catholics of all ages to participate in Mass, even if the smallest might sometimes be a bit noisy. Practically speaking, we have a large open space and rocking chairs in the rear of the church for when a little movement is needed.

We also teach our youngest children to understand and participate in the liturgy through our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program for children ages 3-6, a Montessori-style Christian education approach with a strong emphasis on the liturgy.  Our faith formation for children continues with classes for elementary, middle, and high school aged students, as well as adults.

I’m Catholic. Can I take communion and fulfill my Sunday obligation at Our Lady and St. John?

All Catholics may receive the sacraments at Our Lady and St. John, and attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation fulfills a Catholic’s obligation to participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

I am not Catholic. Can I take Holy Communion at Our Lady and St. John?

We welcome our fellow Christians to this celebration of the Eucharist as our brothers and sisters. We pray that our common baptism and the action of the Holy Spirit in the Eucharist will draw us closer and begin to dispel the divisions which separate us. However, because Catholics believe that the celebration of the Eucharist is a sign of the reality of the unity of faith, life, and worship, members of those churches with whom we are not yet fully united are ordinarily not admitted to Holy Communion.

I have special needs or disabilities. Can I attend OLSJ?

Yes! The church, the formation areas for kids 7+, and the parish hall are all wheelchair accessible.

We have protocols for Holy Communion for those with celiac disease or wheat allergies. Please contact secretary@ourladyandstjohn.org for more information.

For other special needs, please contact us at info@ourladyandstjohn.org, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Where are the bathrooms?

Two bathrooms are located at the rear of the church, through the open double doors. They both have changing tables.
